Specifics

When: Saturday, May 18, 2024

Time: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Where: Weston Town Center (During Celebrate Weston)

What to Expect

The Weston-Wayland Children's Business Fair inspires children to discover their inner entrepreneurs. Children showcase their very own businesses at our one-day market, which is part of the largest entrepreneurship event for kids in North America.

Fifty kids will develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy, and open their business booth for customers. In addition, we anticipate over 500 guests visiting, browsing, and shopping at the Fair.

More Details

Acton Academy and the Acton School of Business developed this "Kidz Biz Fair," a project of the Rotary Club of Weston and Wayland. Max Ash, the founder of MAX'IS Creations and the inventor of the patented "Mug with a Hoop," is our Honorary Kid Co-Chair and role model for our participants. Our generous sponsors (confirmed as of August 21) include Dr. Dental, Max'Is Creations, and Zaazey Olive Oil.

About the Concept

We all believe entrepreneurs are heroes and role models for the next generation. Whether an entrepreneur is famous like Elon Musk, Oprah Winfrey, or Max Ash, or they are one of the thousands of unsung business owners across this country, they are the people who make sacrifices to innovate, create jobs, and serve their communities.

"Today's youths are tomorrow's business innovators and leaders. The Children's Business Fair allows students to spread their entrepreneurial wings and get a head start on promising business careers," said Jeff Sandefer, founder of the Acton School of Business, one of the sponsors of the Fair.

About the Awards

Awards are in each of the four age groups (6-7, 8-10, 11-12, and 13-14) for "Most Business Potential," "Most Creative Idea," "Most Sustainable," and "Most Impressive Presentation." All "kid-preneurs" will receive mentorship and promotion through our Rotary Club's Public Image channels.
