In the early days\, the event was orig inally sponsored by the Rotary Club. Over the past 15 or so years\, the We ston Firefighters Association (WFA) assumed control of the event as our cl ub focused on other events and we took a secondary role with an annual don ation of $500 to purchase the fish to stock the pond. Recently\, The Rotar y Club of Weston and Wayland is back presenting the Weston Fishing Derby.   Fishing will start with a blow of a horn at 9 am sharp until noon (shar p).  There will be food\, drinks available for purchase.  Will need volu nteers to man those as well as the Fish Tent - measuring and logging fish to determine prizes. Prizes will be in 4 age catergories up to 14 years ol d.
