DESCRIPTION:This week we will hear from Member John Marchiony.  John's be
en very busy this year because he's been involved with Adaptive Sports New
England as the Board Chair. Adaptive Sports New England is devoted to hel
ping more people with mobility and visual disabilities to play more spor
ts more often.  John met founder Joe Walsh at Dartmouth College and foll
owed him into many activities and adventures\, and may have learned the mo
st valuable lessons atop the 35-foot-tall snow sculptures they helped buil
 d.  John lived in the same dorm as Diana Golden\, who was inducted into t
he International Women’s Sports Hall of Fame with a citation that read:
“She persuaded the ski world to treat all athletes the same\, regardless
of ability or\, in her case\, disability.” This perspective\, along wit
h Adaptive Sports New England’s mantra of “more sports\, more often\,
closer to home” guides John’s engagement. John\, who'll be joined by J
oe Walsh at our Rotary Club meeting\, is excited to share the mission\, hi
ghlights\, and invitations to engage with Adaptive Sports New England and
its community of athletes and families.  Join us on Zoom if you are unabl
