MEETING NOTES:  President's Letter

Hello!

By all accounts we had another great evening celebrating our RYLA recipients last week.  Robert Mosher and Rohini Ramesh were reported to not disappoint and were confident examples of the best our towns have to offer. You will receive the article for the Crier once it is finalized.

Jan and John ran the evening in my absence, thank you. Tom was back at the Sargent of Arms Table and Edwin pitched in handling all the sales and transactions of the new credit card authorization process!  Just a reminder that effective March 1, our meeting cost is now $30.00.  You can pay by cash, check or credit card at the door so which will help reduce our overhead and the costs of sending a billing statement. Most other Rotary clubs do an at the door collection and we are trying to do the same.

We had 27 in attendance and many guests from the Ramesh family, Jay Moody a Wayland High School teacher (for the second time!) as well as two Rotarians from other clubs who wanted a first hand look as to how we are coordinating and handling the RYLA recipients and award ceremonies.  Apparently word is getting out about our RYLA program and other clubs are interested in what we are doing and how they can follow a similar format!
