Last Thursday we had a very special guest at our weekly club meeting at The Weston Golf Club. Victor Tom, the District Governor for 7910, stopped by to deliver a moving speech to our members. Victor told us the story of growing up with his grandfather and father both being Rotarians. He always wanted to follow in their footsteps but he could not as he did not own his own business, which was formerly a requirement to be in a Rotary Club. In the early 2000s, this requirement was lifted and Victor joined his first club after being invited. Victor has always had a passion to help those in need and shared stories of programs he was involved with at MIT. His enthusiasm was contagious and engaged all who attended. His vision for our district moving forward is full of inclusiveness and genuine selflessness. He is a role model to all that serve others and we are grateful to have him as a leader of the district.
