"Last night’s First Business Showcase Series was a great success! Our speakers delivered insightful presentations, sharing valuable knowledge about their professions and businesses.
A very special thanks to Valdet Abazi for doing an outstanding job as the moderator and for working side by side with me in organizing this event. Your dedication and support were instrumental in making the evening a success.
A big thank you as well to Amy Werner, Nicole James, and Catherine Bassick for their contributions:
- Amy Werner delivered a comprehensive and informative presentation on financial security and community engagement. She shared valuable insights on fraud prevention, discussed the unique aspects of The Village Bank as a Mutual Bank, and explained how families can maximize their FDIC insurance through joint accounts. Amy’s talk covered a wide range of topics, emphasizing the importance of community-focused banking and proactive financial planning.
Nicole James highlighted the critical need for legal planning as soon as we reach adulthood. She discussed the importance of having a Power of Attorney, Health Proxy, and Will, sharing real-life examples that illustrated the benefits of being prepared for unexpected situations.
Catherine Bassick walked us through the complexities of real estate transactions, including environmental and municipal considerations, and how her team helps clients navigate the entire process.
Following the presentations, Nicole James and Amy Werner stayed for the Q&A session, which was dynamic and engaging. They answered thoughtful questions from the audience, providing deeper insights and practical advice. The session sparked meaningful discussions, and many attendees stayed long after the official meeting ended, continuing conversations and sharing reflections.
