NOTE: we placed 115 trout in the pound on Friday, April 19th. Ten trout were caught. One 17" trout was caught. We believe it was a holdover from last year, as the largest trout we stocked was 12-14 inches. Two largemouth bass were caught; the largest was 1lb 7oz! Our stocking trout farm suggests that competition from the large-mouth bass and the pan fish may have kept the trout at the bottom of the pond.  I think there is another reason...

In addition to sponsoring the Fishing Derby, the Rotary Club of Weston & Wayland hosts numerous events throughout the year that raise funds to support humanitarian projects here and internationally. Projects include annual college scholarships for local high schoolers, preparing and providing meals at local soup kitchens, and a five-year project to restore a Weston field for pollinating insects.
