Our club Speaker Series team invites speakers to our meetings to tell us about interesting topics affecting our community.  These include community members, business leaders, charitable foundations, etc.
This month we
have had two outstanding speakers: The Honorable Dennis Saylor and Pam & David Griffin from Chocolate Therapy.
If you have ideas for other speakers, please contact Brenda DeVito

On February 2nd, The Honorable Dennis Saylor visited the club and talked about his job as a Federal Judge in Massachusetts and his time on the US FISA court.  He told us about the type of cases he sees and how he, as a Judge, can balance his personal views vs. the Law in the cases before him.  He said it is impossible to dismiss your opinions fully, but you simply have to apply the Law to the case, and it works.  He talked about his appointment to the FISA court and how applications for a warrant are processed.  Thank you, Judge Saylor, for visiting the club.

On February 9th, Pam and David Griffin from Chocolate Therapy in Framingham joined us for our Valentine's Celebration.  They had a very hectic week when they returned from traveling to a water main break near their store and flooded the entire block of businesses.  What timing, as they were in full production of their special chocolates for Valentine's Day!  They were able to clean up with the help of very dedicated employees and get production back in service the same day they visited us!

Pam told us about their journey from starting in the handmade chocolate business and their challenge during COVID, how they pivoted from in-person "events/parties" to online and corporate events with Virtual Chocolate Tastings, and being visited and interviewed by Robin Roberts from Good Morning America on National Chocolate Day in 2021.  Within 24 hours of that airing, they had thousands of orders!!!

You can find their store at 60 Worcester Road, Framingham, and online at Chocolate Therapy – The Chocolate Therapy Store.   We appreciate them coming on such a crazy week for them.  Please support their business!!
