The Rotary 7910 District Conference on May 21-22, 2021 proved to be very successful for the Rotary Club of Weston and Wayland, winning 10 awards (6 Club and 4 individual) at the 2-day conference:
Club Awards:
- Club of the Year
- Net Membership Growth: 1st Place. 100% more net membership growth than any other Rotary Club in the District -- 9 net new members for WW Rotary. Ron Bott said: "And finally, with an outstanding net gain of nine new members, active members from January 1 to May 15. The Weston-Wayland Rotary Club will receive a $1,000 cash award funded service project, organized by its newer members.
- District Membership: Gold Award
- District Service: Bronze Award
- Youth Programs: Silver Award
- DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) Club Citation
Individual Awards:
Avenues of Service Award - Jan Luchetti honored for her extraordinary service to the club in the five Avenues of Service — club, vocational, community, international, and youth service. She has contributed an extraordinarily large quantity of time across all our programming initiatives.
Significant Service Award - "The Saplings Project" chaired by Mark Messina. This award recognizes Rotary clubs for projects that made an impact and gives district recognition to club activities that address a significant problem or need.
Unsung Hero - Rob Mosher for always stepping up to help wherever needed. Initiated and chaired the Christmas Tree Sale.
District Innovators - John Marchiony for expanding the Rotary Business Networking Series into the District 7910 Rotary@Work initiative.
