Yesterday’s Kids Fishing Derby at the Weston High School Pond was everything we hoped for — and more. With beautiful weather, an incredible turnout of 186 young anglers, and a powerhouse crew of Rotarians, families, and friends, our community showed up in full force.
Thanks to all the volunteers who set up, measured fish, cheered on the kids, and kept the morning running smoothly. Your spirit made the day shine as brightly as the sunshine on the water.
And the fish were biting — 172 recorded catches! We had standout performances from two young girls, each reeling in 17 fish throughout the day, proving once again that the derby brings out serious talent.
This is Rotary at its best: joyful service, community connection, and memories made together. Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen.
